  3. Tomás Eloy Martínez, „Pjevač tanga“: Naš trenutni suputnik u labirintu Buenos Airesa. Kroz njega tražimo svoj autentični glas i učimo kako snaga jedne kapi može promijeniti cijeli ocean našeg dana.

Retrospektiva: Jorge Bucay i „Voljeti se otvorenih očiju“

U ovom našem 95. ponedjeljku, učimo kako gledati svijet – i jedni druge – upravo tim, otvorenim očima."

Retrospektiva: Wolfram Fleischhauer i „Fatalni tango“

3. Suživot s tamom i svjetlom

4. Granica između plesa i života

Gdje prestaje ples, a počinje život?

Retrospektiva: Tomás Eloy Martínez i „Pjevač tanga“

4. Arhiva mira i tragovi u vremenu

3. Suživot bivanja kroz razmak

Razmak nam omogućuje da se ponovno vidimo. Bez prostora, postajemo jedna mutna slika. S prostorom, ponovno vidimo osobu ispred sebe, njezine boje i njezin mir.

4. Mirna luka 95. ponedjeljka

Gdje god i kad god bili. Hvala vam na ovih 95 jutara."

Sve ove riječi o kojima smo pričali – o prostoru, dodiru i miru – mi u Institutu svakodnevno pretvaramo u pokret. Jer tijelo ne laže, ono pamti svaki onaj dodir putova o kojem smo govorili."

Odnosi se ne režu škarama

Možemo jednostavno promijeniti dinamiku, uspostaviti jasnu distancu i završiti ples s poštovanjem. To je zrelost bivanja.

3. Rasplitanje umjesto rezanja

🇬🇧 95. Good Morning with Jelena and Tango: Archive of Peace, Books, and Paths That Touch

A Morning Protocol for the Coexistence of Being

Every Monday at 8:08, we begin exactly the same way, yet always anew. Before we step into our daily responsibilities, I remind you (and myself) of the importance of basic self-tenderness. Two glasses of water, a small bite, and a glance through the window—these are our anchors. In a world that demands speed, we choose peaceful reactions to misunderstandings and resolving tasks "drop by drop."

Three Books as Three Mirrors

Throughout the past 95 broadcasts, literature has been our guide. Today, we recall three titles deeply woven into our Institute:

  1. Wolfram Fleischhauer, “Fatal Tango”: Taught us about individual responsibility. In tango, as in life, we are not mere observers; every step we take is a decision that affects the whole.
  2. Jorge Bucay, “Loving Each Other with Open Eyes”: Reminded us that others are our mirrors. Loving with open eyes means accepting reality without illusions, without waiting in expectation.
  3. Tomás Eloy Martínez, “The Tango Singer”: Our current companion through the labyrinth of Buenos Aires. Through him, we search for our authentic voice and learn how the power of a single drop can change the entire ocean of our day.

📘 Retrospective: Jorge Bucay and “Loving Each Other with Open Eyes”
1. Mirror of Mirrors (Meeting oneself through the other)w
Bucay teaches us that every relationship, and especially the one in tango, is a space in which we reflect ourselves. The other does not serve to complete us, but to show us who we are. When we dance, we do not look for a "second half," but for a conscious mirror in which we learn to grow.
2. Without Waiting in Expectation (Love without illusions)w
Loving with open eyes means giving up the need for the other to be exactly as we imagine them. This is your peaceful postulate: to be present with what is, without the pressure that the moment (or the person) must fulfill our unrealistic expectations.
3. Responsibility for One's Own Happiness
Through this book, we learned that each of us, "task by task," is responsible for our own inner peace. We cannot ask our tango partner to maintain our balance if we haven't found it ourselves within our breath and our step.
4. Coexistence of Being as a Couple
Love is not gazing into each other's eyes, but existing together within the same rhythm. Bucay reminds us that true contact requires the courage to remain authentic—to dance our truth while simultaneously listening to another’s.
Bucay taught us to open our eyes. Not to see the flaws of the other, but to see the truth about ourselves. In this 95th Monday of ours, we are learning how to view the world—and each other—with precisely those open eyes.
📕 Retrospective: Wolfram Fleischhauer and “Fatal Tango”
1. Individual Responsibility (Dance as a decision)
In tango, as in life, we cannot close our eyes to the truth. Every step is a decision, and every decision carries responsibility toward the partner and the moment. Fleischhauer reminds us that we are not mere observers—we are the guardians of the entirety of the dance
2. Mirror of Mirrors (The search for oneself)
The novel is like a labyrinth of mirrors. The protagonist, while searching for the truth about another, actually finds hidden pieces of himself. This is exactly what we do in our studio: we use tango to see ourselves as we truly are, without masks.
3. Coexistence with Darkness and Light
Peace is not merely the absence of unrest, but the ability to dance with our shadows too. This story teaches us that accepting the past and difficult moments is a necessary part of our "coexistence of being." We do not run from the darkness; instead, we light a candle of peace within it.
4. The Boundary Between Dance and Life
Where does dance end and life begin? Fleischhauer suggests to us that there is no boundary. Every "task by task" that we resolve in the studio, we resolve within ourselves as well. Today, in this 95th broadcast, we turn those words from paper into our shared breath.

📙 Retrospective: Tomás Eloy Martínez and “The Tango Singer”
1. The Search for an Authentic Voice
Just as the protagonist in the novel searches for the legendary singer within the labyrinths of Buenos Aires, we search here for our authentic peace. This is not a quest for perfection, but for that single moment where our breath and our movement become one. This is your "task by task"—seeking the truth in every single drop.
2. The City as a Labyrinth (Mirror of our inner world)
In the book, Buenos Aires is a labyrinth where it is easy to get lost if you lack a goal. For us, that is daily life. But through the "coexistence of being," we learn that the labyrinth is not there to trap us, but to teach us how to navigate uncertainty—without waiting in expectation of what lies around the next corner.
3. The Power of a Drop (A universe inside one tango)
Martínez writes about how the entire history of a nation can be condensed into a three-minute song. That is your "power of a drop": one broadcast, one dance, or one read page can be enough to change our entire day. We do as much as we can, but we invest our entire universe into it.
4. Archive of Peace and Traces in Time
The book deals with the tracks we leave behind. Our 95 broadcasts are our tracks, our "archive of peace." Just as the singer from the title leaves an indelible trace in the hearts of those who hear him, we too build a community recognized by peace, not by noise.
While we wander the streets of Buenos Aires with Martínez looking for that one perfect voice, let us remember that the most important voice is our internal one, whispering that it is okay to slow down. In this 95th encounter, we listen precisely to that voice.
🌿 Space as a Place of Meeting
1. Freedom Instead of a Grip
In tango, if we hold the partner too tightly, no one can move. Only when we grant space within the embrace does the dance become possible. It is the same in life—the space we give to another is actually an act of love and trust.
2. Reconnection in Authenticity
When we give space, we no longer meet out of habit or need, but out of freedom. Meeting again after we have "let go" of each other is always fresher, more honest, and deeper. That is your "loving each other with open eyes."
3. Coexistence of Being Through Separation
Distance allows us to see each other clearly again. Without space, we become a single blurry image. With space, we see the person in front of us once more, their colors and their peace.
4. The Safe Harbor of the 95th Monday
We give space to ourselves to simply be. And within that space, we have met again—I with you, you with me, and each of us with ourselves.
We do as much as we can. Wherever and whenever we are. Thank you for these 95 mornings.
All these words we have spoken about—about space, touch, and peace—we transform daily into movement at the Institute. Because the body does not lie; it remembers every single touch of the paths we discussed.
✂️ Relationships Are Not Cut with Scissors
1. A Cut Leaves Sharp Edges
Abruptly severing a relationship with "scissors" is often just a reaction born of hurt. Such a cut leaves a wound that bleeds for a long time, and edges that remain sharp for both hearts. That is not a solution; it is merely a temporary interruption of pain that teaches us nothing.
2. Tango as an Education in Distancew
In tango, we learn about the embrace, but also about creating distance. If a partner does not suit us, we do not have to aggressively "cut them out" of our life. We can simply alter the dynamics, establish a clear distance, and end the dance with respect. That is the maturity of being.
3. Untangling Instead of Cutting
Instead of scissors, employ patience. Let us try to untangle the knots of misunderstanding "task by task." Sometimes a relationship naturally moves apart, like ripples on water, which is far more painless and humane than a forced cut.
4. Peaceful Distance as the Solution
The solution lies in setting boundaries, not in burning bridges. We choose a peaceful distance where there is no coexistence, but without that "rage of the scissors" that might haunt us later within our archive of peace.
When someone fails to understand us, our first reaction is often the urge to slice that relationship with scissors. But we have learned—scissors are not the solution. They leave sharp edges. We choose a peaceful step back; we choose a coexistence where we respect both ourselves and the other, even when our paths no longer touch.

🛣️ Paths That Always Touch
1. A Trace in Eternity
Even when we believe we have moved away, that touch in tango or that word shared at 8:08 remains a part of us. Paths do not have to cross forever, but the point where they touched permanently shifts the direction of both travelers.
2. Responsibility Toward the Encounter
Precisely because paths always touch, how we encounter one another matters. If we enter that touch with peace, well-hydrated after those two glasses of water and a "gaze through the window," that touch will be healing, not painful.
3. No Scissors—Because There Is No Endw
If paths always touch (in memory, in energy, in the archive), then scissors truly make no sense. You cannot cut away something that has become a part of your path. You can only accept that coexistence of being and move forward, richer for that touch.
We might think we are leaving, cutting ties, or forgetting, but the truth is that our paths always touch. In every tango, in every coffee, we leave a piece of ourselves and carry a piece of the other. That is why on Mondays at 8:08, we don't just open a new stream—we open a new space for a touch that will build us tomorrow and for years to come. See you within that circle of peace.
